Amberlie Estate is a quaint private retirement village co-located with Amber Aged Care and consists of 12 two and three bedroom units. In Amberlie can you enjoy the security and peace of mind that comes with living in a community of like-minded people. You will be in a community where you can get to know your neighbours while still maintaining your own privacy. Your unit will be low maintenance which means you will have more time to do those activities and hobbies that you love.

Amberlie Village is close to transport routes, shopping, recreational and medical facilities. You will also be able to access the many other services that Amber Aged Care provides, including in home care such as assistance with ironing, housekeeping, cooking, and wellness Programs, which include exercise classes, physiotherapy and massage. These services are provided on a privately funded basis, however, you may be eligible for financial subsidies.

You will be part of the Amber ‘family’ through the distribution of a monthly magazine which will keep you updated with information of all the activities in which you are welcome to join in. Meals are prepared on site, and can be provided for a reasonable fee for you if do not feel well, or do not feel like cooking.

Will I be responsible for maintaining my garden?

Amber maintenance team take care of your gardening needs at both the front and rear of your property. If you would like to independently care for your garden, please let our support services manager know.

How is the property maintained?

Maintenance request forms are made available to document all of your maintenance needs, these requests are triaged based on urgency and attended to once the maintenance request has been approved. A yearly maintenance inspection of all units is attended to ensure the unit remains at a high standard and all repairs are attended to in a timely manner. For major works Amber Aged Care outsources to qualified trades people who have supplied all necessary certifications and insurances to undertake the required works.

Who takes care of any pests?

Twice a year an external contractor attends external pest treatment we aim to provide a weeks’ notice regarding the day in which they will undertake this process.

What safety procedures are in place if there is an emergency or fire?

Smoke detectors are checked and tested yearly to ensure in good working order and a yearly fire education session is held to ensure all residents are aware of the evacuation procedure and their responsibilities during an emergency
