Explanation of payment options
Residents can choose to pay for their accommodation by a refundable deposit, a daily payment, or a combination of both. A refundable deposit is
paid as a lump sum amount. A daily payment accrues daily and is paid periodically, for example monthly. A combination payment includes both a
partial lump sum and daily payments.

Example of a combination payment for room
For this room, the resident may pay 50% of the agreed room price by way of a refundable accommodation deposit (RAD) of $375,000.00, and then the remaining 50% by way of daily payments of $78.18

Things to note

• The calculation is based on the latest Maximum Permissible Interest Rate (MPIR) and the agreed room price. MPIR varies each quarter.
• The amount is an example only – your contract will reflect the exact agreed room price and your selected payment method.
• From 1 November 2025, a 2% per annum retention may apply to the RAD. The amount to be deducted will be calculated daily at a rate of 2% per annum and it will be limited to 5 years to protect residents who remain in care for a long time.
• The daily accommodation payment (DAP) will be subject to annual indexation.

Room description
The aged care facility was built in the 1980s. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. Each room has its own ensuite and has an out into the
garden. All rooms have sliding door access directly to the garden so residents can sit out in the sun or open their door for fresh air. All rooms are
air-conditioned individually for adequate heating and cooling.

Common areas
All residents have access to a common lounge and dining area in each building sharing the areas with a maximum of 8 residents. Also available is
a common activity/dining area where residents meet on a daily basis. There is also available extensive outdoor under cover areas for residents and
families to enjoy.

Additional service charge

Effective 1 November 2025, the Higher Everyday Living Fee (HELF) will be introduced across Amber Aged Care. The HELF program consolidates a suite of enhanced and supplementary living services designed to elevate the resident experience. Residents may select a full package tailored to their preferences or purchase individual service items as required.

Amber Aged Care has developed five service packages, each covering a different aspect of daily living:

• Premium Care Package
• Accommodation Package
• Digital Services Package
• Premium Meal Package
• Lifestyle Package

Each package is individually priced and can be purchased on its own. For residents who choose to subscribe to all packages, the total discounted rate will be $23 per day, compared to the full package value of $32 per day. Residents assessed as fully government-supported by the Department of Human Services or DVA will be charged a capped rate of $8 per day.
